I just wanted you guys to know how thrilled I am with my Westone UM1 earphones. They are unbelievably, wonderfully comfortable and the sound is excellent. I prefer the relatively flat across-the-board tonal quality that these reproduce. This is my first pair of upgraded in-ear earphones, and the sound difference between these and standard Apple-issue earbuds is astounding. And you know, I really didn't think that the Apple ones were all that bad (sound-wise... comfort... that's a whole different issue) for $30 earphones. The UM1's blew them away. They do take a bit more power to drive them than I thought they would, but that really isn't a detriment. I had agonized in deciding between the Super.fi 3's and the UM1's, and after scouring reviews all over the internet for over a week, finally decided on the UM1's, mainly based on the comfort and fit issues.
